Travel Diary

Welcome to our blog!

My name is Amelie, I live near Stuttgart (Germany) and I attend 10th grade. This year, some of my classmates and me have the opportunity to participate in an exchange program with US-American students.

In the first week of the journey, we plan to go on a road trip through New Mexico, where we are going to drive by car a lot, and we’ll see many cities and sights of New Mexico, like the Old Town Albuquerque or White Rocks.

During the other two weeks, we are going to stay in host families in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where we can learn more about the daily life of American students, the American school system and American culture. We also plan to see some sights of Oklahoma, e.g. the capital Oklahoma City and of course the Tulsa downtown.

Since November, our group has been meeting up every week to learn more aboutthe country we are going to visit. We also learned how to use social media, because of our project: everyone of us will share daily posts about their experiences during the exchange on social media.

I am already looking forward to meeting new people, improving my language skills and learning more about this interesting country, while reporting about my experiences on this blog.
