Hey and welcome back!
Today was the second day of our trip to Oklahoma City. First we went to Bricktown and the Centennial Land Run Monument. The statues were very big and well created. We walked around and studied the face impressions of the statues. After taking pictures went went on to the State Capitol. There we had a guide which showed us around and we had the chance to attend a meeting. After meeting a former BTW teacher who is now involved in politics we went to the Governor’s Mansion. We were shown around and some family members of the family of the governor were present. To end our trip we went to Pops on Route 66. The food and the drink were delicious and I bought some bottles of the limonade for my host family. Before heading back we visited the Arcadia, Round Barn. The man in the gift shop told us that the man who built the Arcadia wanted to create a place that is safe from tornados. So the building and even the roof is constructed in a circle. Then we headed back and met our host families. At the house of my host family we ate sweet potatoes and steak and after the meal we went looking for souvenirs.
Stay tuned and read on!
