Hey!
Today we went to understand the differences between Black and White in the past better. Our excursion destination was the John Hope Center for Reconciliation. First we had a guide who explained some interesting facts about history and about the situation nowadays. Then we walked around the park which was beautifully created. In my opinion it is a very interesting place to learn or just hang out. The next thing we did was just walking around searching for the historic Booker T Washington High School, where in the past only black kids went to. After having lunch at Fat Guy in the Black Wallstreet we went to see the baseball stadium of the Tulsa Drillers. This is one thing to argue about because the black people want to create space to reflect on the past and the white people want to create space to enjoy. It is no easy situation.
After finishing our excursion we went back to Booker T Washington High School to join the classes of our hosts. Because my host had to work I joined another girl of my group and her host. In the evening we went to HiJinks which is a talentshow at BTW. The show was not really long but well organised and interesting.
