Hello and welcome to the last blog post of our roundtrip!
Today we were heading back to Albuquerque because we’ll start our flight to Tulsa from there.
That’s why we had to drive by car for a really long time, which I normally don’t like. But the landscape around us was so nice and we did many stops, so I really enjoyed it.
First we stopped at the Trinity Site, a place from where you could watch the testing of the first atomic bomb many years ago, which was very hard to imagine because it is just a field with some cows on it.
After that we went to the Bosque del Apache, a place where you can see many animals, beaitiful sceneries and (most importantly) birds. We went to a little museum and then drove to some nice spots with many lakes and all in all beautiful nature.
Our last stop was at the Very Large Array in Socorro, where we had a guide who told us about the antennas there and about the work that people there do. It was interesting although I didn’t understand everything because I didn’t know anything about the topic.
When we arrived in Albuquerque we had dinner in the Route 66 Diner, which was a very nice restaurant and the food was very good.
It was a nice ending of this roundtrip and I am very and thankful for having been able to make all those experiences and to see so many new, beautiful things.
Stay tuned!
Thank you for reading!
